Think about the last time somebody serviced your appliances. Were you suddenly rushing to find your paperwork to find your model and serial number?

General Tips for All Appliances 

The easiest and quickest way to access this information is from the sticker, but if you don’t immediately see it, read the user manual. It will show you the exact location. 

Please, however, don’t rely on the numbers provided by the store you purchased them from. That’s because they typically can’t provide complete model numbers, only the series of the machine. That’s why it’s better to always refer to the sticker for this information.

Find Your Model and Serial Number on Whirlpool Refrigerator

Inside the Fridge 

  1. Open the refrigerator door. 
  2. Look at the inner side walls or ceiling near the front. 
  3. Look for an engraved plate with older units on or near the bottom toe kick panel in the bottom right corner.  

At the Rear 

  1. Move the fridge slightly away from the wall. 
  2. Check the back of the unit for a sticker. 

 

Locating the Numbers on Whirlpool Washing Machines

Top Load Washers 

  1. Open the lid.  
  2. Check the rim under the edge of the lid or the machine top for the sticker.  

Front Load Washers 

  1. Open the door.  
  2. Find the sticker on the door frame’s side, top, or center. 

Back Panel 

  1. Locate the back of your washing machine. 
  2. Look for a sticker containing the model and serial numbers. 

 

Locating the Numbers on Whirlpool Dryers 

  1. Open the door of your dryer. 
  2. Check for the sticker on either side or the top of the frame.

How to Find the Numbers on Whirlpool Ovens and Stoves 

Inside the Oven Door 

  1. Open the oven door. 
  2. Check the frame around the oven cavity, including underneath the control panel. 

 

Rear Panel 

  1. Go to the back of the stove. 
  2. Check for a plate or sticker. 
  3. The plate will swing up from the back on some models, revealing the sticker. 

 

How to Find the Numbers on Whirlpool Cooktops 

Underneath the unit 

Find the sticker on the bottom. It is usually a separate sticker not associated with the others. When you find the sticker, I suggest taking a picture, either printing it out or storing the digital copy in a safe place with your other appliance information.  

 

Locating Numbers on Whirlpool Dishwashers 

 Inside Rail of the Dishwasher 

  1. Open the dishwasher door. 
  2. Check the left or right side frame for a sticker or engraving.  

Side Walls 

  1. Removing the bottom rack may make reading easier if it blocks your view.  
  2. Check the side walls of the dishwasher.
